Your article on Transformers and AI is enlightening. Here’s a thought from a Sufi perspective that might add another layer of understanding:

At its core, AI and technology are built on fundamental elements—metal and electricity. These materials and forces have inherent properties that enable the creation of complex systems like AI. We haven’t invented these properties; we’ve simply discovered how to use them effectively. The advancements we see in AI are really a manifestation of the potential that was already present in nature, waiting to be explored.

In Sufi terms, this mirrors the idea that our understanding of technology reflects a deeper truth about the universe. Just as metal and electricity were always capable of producing sophisticated results, our own inner potential is similarly vast. By applying focused intention and effort, we can uncover and develop profound insights within ourselves, much like how we unlock the capabilities of technology.

Rumi encapsulates this idea with:

“The universe is not outside of you. Look inside yourself; everything that you want, you already are.”
